Cabela's To Expand Distribution Center

Outdoor outfitter Cabela's plans another major expansion at its East Coast distribution center in Ohio County, W.Va. With Cabela’s second distribution center set to open in July, the company is planning another expansion of its facilities at The Highlands, a business park along Interstate 70 near Wheeling. The distribution center expansion project could be open by 2008 and bring another 200-250 jobs to the county. The 550,000-square-foot addition will bring the total distribution facilities at The Highlands to about 1.7 million square feet with current employment at about 800. Cabela’s also has a 175,000-square-foot store next to its distribution center.
