Theme Park Coming To Ohio County

Ohio County’s Highlands business and commercial park will grow significantly in the coming year. The Ohio County Development Authority officially announced that a Wild Escapes Theme Park will be build on the site. The first phase of the 100-acre amusement and entertainment park could be open as early as next July. The entire park will be constructed in three phases over a three-year period. The park will have thrill rides, an indoor and outdoor water park, ongoing entertainment and retail opportunities. Plans also call for a hotel, which will start with 500 to 700 rooms but may eventually reach 1,000 rooms. The park is expected to create about 1,000 jobs and bring tax revenue to the county,
